 A majority of us have been concerned about the Covid-19 pandemic and its v
 accines. As a result\, Dr. Alvarez tailored his lecture to address these c
 oncerns in particular. It was a wonderful lecture and we hope everyone get

 e Alvarez\, MD/PhD\, is an adult neurologist at the University of Colorado
  with a subspecialization in neuroimmunology. He is the medical director f
 or outpatient neurology. He sees patients with autoimmune diseases affecti
 ng the central nervous system including multiple sclerosis\, neuromyelitis
  optica\, neurosarcoid\, neurolupus\, CNS vasculitis\, post-infectious neu
 rological syndromes\, idiopathic optic neuritis and transverse myelitis at
  the Rocky Mountain Multiple Sclerosis Center at the University of Colorad
 o Denver and at Denver Health Hospital.  He is particularly interested in 
 improving outcomes in patients with MS including using biomarkers to choos
 e the best treatment options and clinical trials. He is the principle inve
 stigator on a number of clinical trials and clinical research studies invo
 lving promising therapies in the treatment of MS. He is director of the RM
 MSC biorepository where we collect blood\, CSF and other biosamples in sea
 rch of biomarkers in neuroimmunological disorders.  Dr. Alvarez graduated 
 from medical and the neuroscience graduate school through the medical scie
 ntist training program at the University of Colorado where he also did his
  internship year. He then completed his neurology residency and Neuroimmun
 ology fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis though a Sylvia Law
 ry fellowship from the National MS Society.\n\nContact our office for more
